Hybridity resolves stereotypes, stuck patterns and opens up new solutions for a living together. The moment of breaking constructs of power and shifting strategies of representation is essential for Bhabha, and can be created in his so called »third spaces«. Third spaces are without a specific location, but are spaces of criticism on rigid identity constructs in order to negotiate controversy narratives and to redefine discourses of identity. It is a space in-between power and authority. A space that stands for an idea and builds new realities. A »space of thought« with the chance to define and open up new cultural meanings and productions.
